Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of necessary
libraries and/or headers. Check the mkmf.log file for more details. You may
need configuration options.

Provided configuration options:

Gem files will remain installed in /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.0.0/gems/pg-0.17.1 for inspection.
Results logged to /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.0.0/gems/pg-0.17.1/ext/gem_make.out

sudo env ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" bundle install

If that’s still failing make sure gem install works first:

sudo env ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" gem install pg -- --with-pg-config=/usr/local/Cellar/postgresql/9.3.1/bin/pg_config
